Profile of Revd. Peter O. Olayiwola PhD

Peter O Olayiwola received the call of God into the Ministry in 1997. Prior to his call, He holds a B.Sc. Economics degree with a second class upper (1990) and M.Sc. in Business Administration 1994 both from the University of Lagos. He also holds Master of Divinity in Theology from the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary 2003. In 2015, he bagged his PhD in Business Administration from Ekiti State University. He is a member of many professional organisations.

He is a committed believer and an astute preacher of holiness and righteousness. He has served at the various church ministries, for example, Financial Secretary of Scripture Union Pilgrim Baptist Church Branch, Bible Study Secretary, Assistant Church Secretary and Church Secretary of Pilgrim Baptist Church Gbagada. While he was in the University, he served as the Drama Secretary and President of the Baptist Students’ Fellowship of the University of Lagos, Lagos Nigeria. During his service year, He served full time as the General Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship Abuja (190/1991).

He became the Student Pastor of Victory Baptist Church in November 1999 through the Instrumentality of Revd. Daniel Akano of Ebenezer Baptist Church Lagos. His ministry in Victory Baptist Church in Odonla has been very fruitful to the life of his congregation.

Within the first year of his Ministry as the student pastor, he led the church to acquire more than 3 plots of land, built the first worship auditorium and a four-bedroom mission house with a borehole. The church project yielded fruit as a befitting fully airconditioned Toyota HiAce was bought in March 2016 and while the new structure of a more befitting auditorium which started in the February of the same year has reached an advanced stage of completion.

By November and December 2018, one church was adopted, and a new one planted named Victory Baptist Church Igbosoro respectively. A three plot of land has been acquired at the cost of three million Naira, and as at the end of December, two million has been paid living a balance of one million to be paid by the end of April 2019.

To the glory of God, every youth, teenagers and adult with God-given gifts are encouraged to use their gifts, and God’s name is being lifted up as God surprises His people with uncountable testimonies. Pastor Olayiwola is a Tent Making Pastor; He is currently an Associate Professor and the Deputy Director, Distance Learning Institute at the University of Lagos, Lagos Nigeria with more than 30 publications in both local and International academic journals and contributions to books

Pastor Olayiwola is supported by his loving wife Oluwaseun Olayiwola in the Children and Teenager Ministry. There is no dull moment at the Victory Baptist Church Odonla.
